Marianne Cottage at Johnsfort House
This stylishly renovated stone cottage from the late 1700’s is cosy and inviting especially with the sun shining on the patio or the stove lit inside. The exposed stone walls and limestone hearth are just some of the original features of this beautiful cottage.
The cottage forms part of an old farmyard with an abundance of old stone buildings. When you come to stay you will meet our Highland cows, four-horned Jacob sheep and our hens who produce lovely fresh eggs for you to pick up for your breakfast and enjoy with freshly baked bread.
This is a self-catering cottage with lots of home comforts. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a delicious breakfast basket filled with homemade brown bread, local jams, granola, fresh fruit, cereals, bacon, tea & coffee. Enjoy fabulous free-range eggs handpicked by you with home baked bread each morning. There is also a washing machine and a dryer for your convenience.

Day 1 Collection and Boyne Valley Tour
Collection from Dublin Airport/Dublin City heading to Ireland’s Ancient East where you will discover all the area has to offer. Sights will include Howth, Trim Castle and the Hill of Tara. Arrive that evening to the warmth of Johnsfort House.
Day 2 Johnsfort Farm Walk and Newgrange
Enjoy a farm walk around Johnsfort meeting Highland cattle, Jacob sheep, lambs and hens. Be welcomed into a traditional farmhouse kitchen, bake brown bread and enjoy delicious home baking. Explore Newgrange Megalithic Centre and 5000-year-old passage tombs as well as some fun experiences with the locals of the area.
